Don't cancel AOL just yet!

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST PARAGRAPH CAREFULLY: The link provided below is NOT a "special trick" developed by us (which WOULD be cool, but it's not the case). We don't have any special software, we don't provide access to Unimatic, you don't go "through our site to get to Unimatic." ALL WE ARE PROVIDING IS A LINK, AND THAT IS IT! As cool as it would be to offer a program like Cullen's or Scott's (which use the link as a bridge between their program and Unimatic), we just don't have one! The link IS cool, the link IS great, but that is all it is. You could hand type the url http://airline.compuserve.com/ual/launch_ip2.asp into any browser and it would still do the same thing. In a nut shell, this is an ex-parrot, I mean, THIS IS JUST A LINK AND WE DON"T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HOW IT WORKS.

As previously posted, you can get Unimatic access, away from CSIM, away from AOL, away from any bid package, away from My SkyNet. This link (courtesy Vinny De Giovanni and Cullen Bankole) will allow you to access Unimatic directly through your browser, BUT YOU TECHNICALLY STILL NEED AN AOL ACCOUNT.

To get this link to work, you must use ANY VALID CREW MEMBER ACCOUNT. There are two ways to "use" this account. One is to install AOL, enter the crew member's screen name and password, and go to UAL CREWS. This sets a cookie, and if you never delete your cookies, you will NEVER HAVE TO RUN THE AOL SOFTWARE AGAIN. You can then access Unimatic from this link or from one of the third party software packages like WinBid or VB2000. If you delete your cookies, you'll need to run AOL and go to UAL CREWS again to reset the cookie.

If you don't want to install AOL, YOU STILL NEED TO USE A VALID CREW MEMBER'S screen name and password. If you don't install AOL and go through the routine outlined above, you will be prompted every single time you access Unimatic for the screen name and password. While this may be cumbersome, the cool thing is this allows you to use the link (easily rememberd by going to PilotsUnited.com and clicking on it) from ANY computer that is attached to the internet (ie, any computer in an internet cafe or at a hotel business center.)

SHOULD YOU CANCEL YOUR AOL ACCOUNT? The answer is you need to use a VALID CREW MEMBER'S screen name and password. If you cancel your AOL account, will you be able to use a VALID CREW MEMBER'S screen name and password? If you can't figure that out, then DO NOT CANCEL YOUR AOL ACCOUNT!

If you have any more questions, you might find the answer in our FAQ. If it's not there, then we really don't know any other tricks. Well, I do know how to tie a cherry stem with my tongue in less than 3 seconds, but I don't know any more AOL/Unimatic tricks.
