Just read the following and fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Terms of use, and frequently asked questions, in no particular order

Q: What do I have to do to my email software to receive mail at my new address?

A: Nothing! Since it is automatically forwarded to your current email address, you don't have to do anything to your email software to receive your pilotsunited.com mail. The mail will simply show up in the email account you now have. You'll be able to tell it was sent to your @PilotsUnited.com address because the "To:" field will have your address @PilotsUnited.com.

Q: How do I send mail from my @PilotsUnited.com account?

A: You don't. You can't send mail through your @PilotsUnited.com account, but you can make it look like you did. You continue to send mail with the account you now use. You can make it look like the mail was sent from your @PilotsUnited.com address, by changing the "reply to" setting to your @PilotsUnited.com address. If you use web-based email, you can usually (depending on the service) change your "preferences" to show your @PilotsUnited.com address as your return address. If you want to have the option of sending mail from either your current address *or* your @PilotsUnited.com address, you can do that, too. Most email software (like Outlook) will let you set up separate "accounts" with different mail settings. Keep the one you have, and set up a new account for PilotsUnited.com.

Q: What if I change to a different Internet Service Provider?

A: If you change ISP's: Lucky you! Tell us and we'll start forwarding your mail to your new account. If you start using your @PilotsUnited.com address now, before you change ISP's, and tell all your friends to use your @PilotsUnited.com address, then, when you do change ISP's, you don't have to notify everyone, just notify us, and we'll make sure your mail gets redirected to your new inbox.

Q: What does it cost?

A: Nothing! Well, it costs us a little to host the email and to set it up, but it's free to you. Our generous sponsors have picked up the cost for you.

Q: Is it private?

A: No email is really private, unless its encrypted. But this is as private as ununcrypted mail can get. The mail doesn't stay on our server -- it is immediately forwarded. And unlike many ISP's, we respect your privacy. We will not sell or share your address or personal information with anyone. We are not going to send you junk mail, either.

Q: So what's the catch?

A: Nothing. Just don't abuse the service. You must agree to use this email address only for personal mail. (If you want to set up a business, I can help, but its not free.) You must also promise not to use your @PilotsUnited.com address as a return address for SPAM that you send out. That could get our server blacklisted. And you also must agree never to use your PilotsUnited.com address for anything that would give a bad name to our profession, our employer, or PilotsUnited.com.

You also promise not to sue us, for any reason! Not even if we screwed up, and as a result, maybe you didn't get a really important message. You use this service ENTIRELY at your own risk.

We also ask (and strongly recommend) that you not use your PilotsUnited.com address as a "dummy" address that you give out over the web indiscriminately, on forms for sweepstakes or other nonsense that is likely to cause you to start receiving a bunch of SPAM. Instead, if you want to do that, we suggest you use your ISP email address, or better yet, set up an account at yahoo or hotmail to give out to people you don't know. Then you can use your @PilotsUnited.com address for personal mail and ignore all the spam in your other mail accounts. (They are going to send you SPAM anyway. We won't!)

If we change these terms, we'll post the new ones here.
